Melanie Christian

Melanie relocated from Atlanta to the Asheville area in 2009 for the same reasons everybody moves here – it’s awesome! She and her two daughters love living in such a beautiful area and especially enjoy a more reasonable pace of life. When it comes to Real Estate, Melanie has done it all! After graduating from Troy University with a degree in Accounting/Business Management, she began her career as a Commercial Real Estate Lender. After a few years, she transferred to Residential Mortgages and discovered her love of Residential Real Estate. Over her 25 year career, Melanie has been a Top Producing Mortgage Lender in the Atlanta market (closing $60 million/year), VP of an Atlanta based Builder, Construction Coordinator for a National Builder, Managing Partner of a Real Estate Investment company, and of course – a Licensed Realtor (since 2005). Melanie honed her skills in an extremely competitive Buckhead/Atlanta market then adapted to the specialized needs of the Western NC market, while never losing the values she learned growing up in “small town” Alabama. We’re not kidding when we say Melanie loves Real Estate! Credentials are important, but are nothing without passion. With an ever present smile and enthusiasm, she has an uncanny ability to put everyone at ease, while negotiating a fair deal for all involved. When not showing property to clients, Melanie loves to hike/picnic with her girls, go boating, go skiing in Utah, cook (only if wine is involved!), and go treasure hunting in antique shops. She also admits to a small “Pinterest Problem.” But nothing compares to her love for College Football! Growing up in Alabama, it’s practically a law!
