Fletcher NC Real Estate for Sale
Fletcher, NC is a relatively new town (incorporated in 1989) in northern Henderson County, just over the Buncombe County line. Fletcher is a fast-growing area, with a convenient location between Asheville, Hendersonville, and Brevard. Many residents commute to these larger cities, as Fletcher is served by multiple thoroughfares. Interstate 26, US Highway 25, and NC Highway 280 all run through Fletcher, making it an easy area from which to access work and recreation. Some of the area’s larger employers are located in the Fletcher Business Park.
Property in Fletcher is typically more gentle in topography, especially when compared to Buncombe County and the other towns around Asheville. Land for sale in Fletcher ranges from large tracts suitable for development to modest lots in planned communities. Homes for sale in Fletcher are often very affordable, but there are luxury home communities as well. As is typical of much of the Asheville area, real estate in Fletcher is widely varied.
One area where Fletcher really shines is its Parks and Recreation department, and its crown jewel is Bill Moore Community Park. This 60-acre park offers miles of walking trails, several athletic fields, a playground, a picnic shelter, trout fishing access along Cane Creek, a 9-hole disc golf course, arboretum gardens, and a dog park.
